You haven't heard the last of Peeps....

In Kansas, I took four big packages of Peeps to Easter lunch - they were gobbled up quickly .....

And in Washington, the winning entry of the Washington Post Peeps Diorama Contest is "The Tomb of King Peepankhamun". The "artist" Laura Sillers, 22, of Potomac heard about the Peeps Diorama Contest 48 hours before the Sunday deadline. Her diorama includes torches that are piped-in Christmas lights. hieroglyphics steeped in Peeps imagery and a mummy Peep staggering out of the walls of the tomb. All the entries can be seen on the - you guessed it - Peeps Show Gallery. Be sure to look through all the 37 finalists (out of 800 entries).

And in Chicago, The Chicago Tribune had 500 entries for its Diorama Contest - the winning entry "Pampered Peep Day Spa" dazzled the judges.

This could be my last entry about Peeps.........but never say never.........

Missed most of the Sunday Morning show feature about Peeps,so thank youfor this. Amazing how imaginative people are and how intuned they are to popular culture. I was pleased to see some references to classical literature and art. I am already looking forward to next year's entries.
