I have included in this blog a few frivolous and playful videos over the last few days. Here is a video that is just plain crazy. James Dobson's religious followers offer this video - asking their constituents to pray for torrential rains on the night of Obama's acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention at the end of August. Not a joke..........
If the rain doesn't work, what else will they do to forward their agenda? Luckily the controversial Topeka, KS church of Fred Phelps was not able to promote their wacko agenda at the funeral of the young Canadian brutally murdered on a bus last week. The group claims "God hates Canada", and they planned to picket the funeral of Tim McLean because Canada is a nation who refuses to obey God. His death, they claim, was in retribution for Canada's acceptance of homosexuality, abortion and adultery.
Bless you Winnipeggers for showing up and surrounding the church from which Tim McLean was to be buried, to prevent the members of the Church from shouting out their hateful opinions. It appears that some of the church members who tried to come into Canada were turned away at the border - but to ensure that the funeral could proceed without protest, hundreds of Winnipeg residents assembled peacefully on the street.

It is beyond me how people who claim to be acting on "God's agenda" can contemplate, much less act on, such hate. If God is Love then...........?
