Egg Salad Sandwiches - how to peel that pesky egg

I like making hard boiled eggs - I don't really like to eat them just like that - but when they are added to a salad or mixed with the magic of mayonnaise, such as deviled eggs or egg salad sandwiches, they are irresistible. There is nothing better than a party egg salad sandwich - the kind served at tea or funerals - you know the kind - on white or simple wheat bread (sometimes with the crust removed). I have never figured out how to peel an egg simply or easily - I usually crack the outside while they are cooling, but even this method doesn't always work. But here is a new method.

I'm going to give it a try the next time I crave an egg salad sandwich (with lettuce please)............

no need for removing a bit here and a bit there. and then blowing. Waste of time. When the eggs are done, just take the eggs off the heat, put the pot in the sink and run in cold water for a couple of minutes, let the eggs sit in the cold water for a couple of minutes, and the shells will slide off with ease when you crack them.
