An Uncanny look at San Francisco

The Asian Art Museum of San Francisco is currently hosting an installation by Beijing-based artist Zhan Wang. It’s a sculpture of San Francisco made entirely of kitchenware — tongs, graters, pots, serving dishes, tea kettles, and so on. Naturally, each piece is made in China.

I did find this other "jellinstallation" - a replica of San Francisco done in jello. You can see more (and better) images of this shiny jiggly cityscape here.

I must say that San Francisco is my favourite city to visit. We have been there at least 7 times and are ready to go a moment's notice but neither one of these creations brings the same feelings that I usually have when seeing some of the many vistas that I love. My I suggest that you check out the San Francisco Pier 39 webcam.
