Have we changed at all?

"Americans born in the 21st century will shake their heads in disbelief on learning that 40 states once had laws prohibiting interracial marriage. The Supreme Court struck down the last of these statutes in the 1967 case of Mildred and Richard Loving, a black woman and a white man who were arrested and banished from Virginia for the crime of being married."

It is even harder for a Canadian to believe..... Here is a good article about the community where the Lovings resided.

Today inter-racial marriages are accepted and are lawful. But there is such a nagging pernicious racial divide that still exists. Do these same types of neighbours that complained about the Lovings, still exist today? Just check out Hillary's win last night in the West Virginia Primary. Lots of online comments today about Hillary's crowd of supporters - mostly white (and middle-aged)...... Check out this comment and this video. We have a long way to go........
