No wonder Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich was trying to sell a Senate Seat - it is worth a few buckeroos.......6.2 million dollars to be exact.
As Governor, Blagojevich would be responsible for filling the Senate Seat vacated by Barack Obama. In exchange for the appointment to the Senate, Blagojevich was seeking either a substantial salary for himself at a non-profit group or a labor union, a corporate board seat for his wife, campaign contributions, and/or a cabinet post or ambassadorship for himself. The article considers not only the pay, lovely pension but further lobbyist income for any two term Senator - for a total income of 6.2 million dollars......
