I'd like to pay my taxes this way.......


This article tell us about some 8th Grade students in New Jersey who have been punished after paying for their school lunches with pennies. 29 students paid for their lunches with 200 pennies each, but the administration of the school was not impressed. School officials punished the students for being disrespectful and because the delay caused by counting the pennies meant that some students didn't get to eat lunch. The students each received 2 days of detention. Good try kids........

Love the coin structures. Always interesting to see what people will find to build things. Lego is expected and the parts are connected but the coins are definitely a challenge.

The students protesting the short lunch were very good. They had a problem and tried something. I am pleased that they understood that
there was an unaniticipated consequence to their action. Others were adversely affected. They accepted their punishment, parents understood and did not berate the administration and cafeteria staff. Very mature and the issue has now been raised.
