I hope everyone had a happy new year and I hope that everyone is enjoying a nice quiet weekend. Hard to believe the holiday season is almost over - life gets back to normal on Monday. If anyone happens to know of a magical Christmas decoration-deconstrucion elf, please let me know. There is really never a problem hauling out the decorations, putting them out lovingly around the house, rediscovering precious sentimental Christmas ornaments, decking the halls.....but taking it all down and putting it away - that is another matter. I just wish everything would disappear into nicely packaged and labelled boxes in a corner of the basement. Oh, and if the magical elf could dust and vacuum and clean up everything too that would certainly be a big bonus.
We had a lovely new year`s eve with friends - we decided to dust off fondue pots and try a complete fondue meal. Everyone prepared part of the meal - it was quite delicious and fun. Cheese, meat, seafood, vegetables, bread.....followed by chocolate fondue. What better way to ring in a new year and a new decade.
